Details2 different antique Oxagon 19thcentury Chinese wedding baskets which have beautiifully been hand painted and decorated. These were originally used to carry food to newlyweds. Brown lacquer over pine and bamboo with gold, a lighter color, and black drawn animal decorations around the sides, which are worn illustration, and the bottom has fruits and (I think) traditional chinese letters. One has an additional top brass piece on the handle. The hardware on the basket like the brass tacks on the sides of handles are still sturdy and in very good condition, no chips or splints to either basket.
Beautiful for storage or display.
